I planted arugula, dill, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, parsley, jalapeno, pepper, radish, spinach.SPINACH DID NOT SPROUT. I planted 3 seeds of spinach in each pod in hydroponic garden twice, and no seed sprouted. The others: arugula, dill, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, parsley, jalapeno, pepper, radish ALL SPROUTED and I ate lettuce 3 times (and I planted in August 6 2022 (today is September 12, 2022). The arugula was the best I ever had. The lettuce was delicious! I have been using dill in my mashed potato and I decided to transplant the radish to soil because I was afraid it was going to be too big for the small hydroponic system. The tomato is about 7 inches big, and the jalapeno pepper is about 4 inches big. I planted lettuce again since I ate all the first crop and I put the remaining lettuce that I planted in soil as well.My impression is that using these seeds and seeing them grow so well and so fast in the IDOO hydroponic system (12 pods wifi unit) changed my perspective about growing my own food. It is really so easy and the learning curve is fast! I have been watching youtube videos of how to grow in hydroponic and I think I will start planting more in this hydroponic system. Fascinating!I haven’t planted my seeds so I must trust that they’re going to give a harvest. The end times are coming, we’re being given GMO foods; I’m in hope that when the time comes my seeds will accomplish my end goal which is to have nutritious food!!Note: I haven't planted any seeds yet. That said, all of them are marked for this year and should be viable. I'll update the review accordingly if they are not.The zipper bag indeed does have 50 seed packets, but ten of them were replaced with different packets not shown in the item pictures above. Most of them are different varieties of the same species--however, those who wanted the buckwheat packet may not be too happy to have it replaced by Snowball cauliflower. Buyers may also not want determinate Roma seeds instead of indeterminate San Marzano ones, nor more varieties of snap bean instead of the lima and soybeans they expected. I don't mind the substitutions that much, but some other buyers might.Side note: one of the pictures shows a packet of cowpeas and no zucchini, while the other has zucchini without the cowpeas. Seller, if you're reading reviews, please update your pictures. So I used quite a few packets from this kit this summer. It was hit or miss on what grew well, but could've been the weird whether we had. Cilantro and dill didn't make it because it was unseasonably wet, then unseasonably hot very early on, but tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, and all pepper varieties did well. Anyways, I only planted San Marzano tomatoes this year from this kit. Babied them indoors in peat pellets, then potting soil, then transplanted outside...It just stinks to work on something for six months and at the very end not really know what you grew. And I was planning on more San Marzanos to be able to make sauce and can it. ?♀️September 29: So far, so good! The seeds I've planted are already popping up. I'll update this review as it continues. And yes, I'm planting out of season.Got this about a week ago and started several late season plantings and every single seed that I started has germinated. A few cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, swiss chard, a few herbs, carrots, and 2 types of beans. I am very pleased with the tough durable zipper bag to keep the seeds safe from moisture although, I will be storing in a tote to also keep them safe from sunlight and rodents. I am fairly confident that nearly all these seeds will be viable. As far as vegetable gardening goes, the Homesteader package has nearly everything you are probably looking for to grow in one season and more. I can't say enough good things about this item. Also, this company was very helpful and seems to truly care about their customers. Thank you Survival Garden Seeds!Cant wait to plant!Value for the money
