Every single seed sprouted, as far as I can tell. I made three raised rows 60' long and about 18" apart. I mixed all 30,000 seeds with a bag of MiracleGro potting soil and sprinkled the mix on top of the raised rows about 1" wide and half an inch deep on average. Somehow it was exactly enough for the three rows and two flower pots. Nothing seemed to happen for about 10 days, but then the rows turned green! It has been a month and it is well on its way. I will soon be up to my knees in kale. This is the second time I purchased these, and we had good results before as well. If protected a bit, the plants will produce into December. I planted the first weekend of June (Northwest lower Michigan), and expect to harvest until the snow becomes too deep sometime in November. My pet rabbit and I just finished weeding it, and that is the picture here.I am amazed at how high the germination rate is for these seeds. I soaked a few tablespoons to grow on a try, and those few tablespoons not only filled the entire tray, but also left over enough seed that my one pint jar was packed solid with sprouts. I had to work a bit to get them out to use. We're all pretty much aware of Kale's nutritional value. If the taste holds you back, here are a couple tricks- one is to use lime juice. If you can, soak kale leaves in water with lime juice overnight, and do so in the refrigerator (that is the second tip). If you are able to have the kale finish growing in the refrigerator, that will sweeten up the leaves nicely. These are being grown as microgreens, warmed and weighted for the first 5 days. Then they get light and cold as they finish developing. The pictures show the high germination and density. Next time I will plant less seed.Slow bolting and great flavor... I use a lot of kale for salads, and love kale Tabouli. I have kale even in August! This does extremely well in cooler weather and stands up to blistering heat (very slow to bolt) Unheard of:)So disappointed. Expected these seeds to grow beautifully and only about a quarter if that sre sprouting while my dollar store seeds I had since last year are growing beautifully. Wasted money unfortunately.Arrived on time. I planted this a few months ago and it sprouted up in no time. It's growing in our raised bed garden. We have kale in our smoothies everyday, and I sautee it or eat it in salads. Ain't nothing like GOD'S FOOD!They arrived in a very timely manner. Planted soon as they arrived and the kale is growing in the garden now.Fast and great germination. Sprouts are appearing quickly. Will update with progress if helpful. September 8th update - look at this beautiful kale. It’s salad time!Top notch germination rate for these seeds. I placed them in a damp paper towel in a plastic bag. They germinated in under three days. Easy to place the sprouting seeds in pots using tweezers, then lightly cover with soil. Highly recommended seller and method.
